Collis’ Park

One of the oldest parks in Ostróda offers many outdoor activities. You can play table tennis, have fun in the rope park or pump track route, or enjoy other things for the little ones. Playgrounds in Ostróda

The best-equipped playgrounds can be found on Mickiewicza Street (by Drwęckie Lake, next to the Amphitheater), Herdera Street, January 21 Street and Plebiscytowa Street. There your children will be able to play on swings, slides, merry-go-rounds and other equipment adapted to their age and needs.

Podwórko Nivea w Kajkowie

This is a 300 square meters playground for kids with many attractions. Here you can find swings, slides, merry-go-rounds, sandboxes, a playhouse and many other toys. The playground is safe and colorful. It’s located next to the Sajmino Hotel, where you can get something to eat.

It’s a place full of greenery and activities for the whole family. Here you can stroll along the walking and bicycle paths, have a picnic or barbecue, and play with a ball or flying disc. Children can play on the trampolines, swings and a climbing net. And if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, we recommend going to the grassy beach with a rest area.

Skatepark

This is a paradise for lovers of extreme sports. Here you can ride skateboards, rollerblades, scooters or BMXs. And if you want to improve your fitness and strength, try a street workout. It’s an outdoor type of gym where you are using your own body weight (calisthenics) and various obstacles to train. Don’t forget to wear a helmet and pads!

Las i park Sienkiewicza w Iławie

The nature trail of the “Sosny Taborskie” (Tabor Pines) Reserve.

Running through the Reserve, the didactic path runs among the oldest, most beautiful and characteristic specimens. Designed for both pedestrians and cyclists, adults and children. The beginning and end of the path is located at the entrance to the village of Tabórz at a parking lot prepared specially for visitors. A dozen wooden educational boards have been set up along the path. Individuals and organized groups have the opportunity to visit on their own or with a guide from the local Forest District (“Nadleśnictwo”). Numerous resting places await those wanting to rest, and in the middle of a 1.5-kilometer path, after contacting employees of the Forest District, both younger and older visitors can use the “Forest Classroom” - a shelter located in a quiet place with tables, benches and a place for a bonfire.

Ścieżka dydaktyczna i Lapidarium na Górze Dylewskiej

This path is for those who want to learn about the geology and landscape of the Dylewskie Hills. Here you can see the Geological Lapidarium, where rocks from different geological eras are on display. You can also follow an educational path that leads through the forest to a vantage point on Góra Dylewska (312 m (1,024 ft)) which offers a beautiful panorama of the area.

Park nad Wikierką

A beautiful landscape park, located on the Wikierka River, which flows into the Dąbrowa Wielka Lake. Formerly, when Dąbrówno still belonged to the Finck von Finckenstein family (1572-1831), there was a park with a conservatory, which was later transformed into a recreation park with a playground where you can walk along the alleys and admire the old trees. There are many attractions for children here, such as swings and slides. You can also relax on the benches or have a picnic on the grass.

Park w Durągu

This is a park for people interested in nature and history. Here you can admire natural monuments such as common oaks and small-leaved lindens that are more than 200 years old. You can also visit the historic landscape park dating back to the 18th century, which was designed by the famous gardener Johanes Larass. The park lies within the area of “Natura 2000”, which protects rare and endangered plant and animal species.

Leśna Ścieżka Dydaktyczna w Starych Jabłonkach

This is a path for those who want to learn more about the forests and their management. The path runs through a forest full of century-old trees, such as Tabórz Pines and beech trees. There are 10 thematic boards along the path, which provide information on objects and issues related to forestry. Here you can learn about the role of forests in protecting the environment, about growing trees or about threats to the forests.

Cruises on the Lake

1-1.5 hours: If you want to see Ostróda from a different perspective and admire its beauty from the deck of a ship, you can take advantage of the offer of Żegluga Ostródzko-Elbląska and go on a short cruise on Drwęckie or Pauzeńskie lakes. The ships depart from a pier on the boulevard on Drwęckie Lake. It’s a great opportunity to relax and unwind, while being surrounded by nature, and to observe the work of the ship’s captain. Maybe your children will also want to become a sailor?

Cruise on the Ilavia boat

If you want to see Iława from a different perspective, then be sure to go on a cruise on the Ilavia boat. It’s the longest lake in Poland with many interesting places to discover. Admire the beautiful scenery, islands and bays, as well as the island of Wielka Żuława, which is the largest inland island in Poland. The cruise lasts about an hour and is available from May to October, with the ship leaving from the marina next to Galeria Jeziorak.
