The Battle of Grunwald Museum

ABOUT THE OBJECT

The museum began its activities with the unveiling of the Grunwald Monument in July 1960 on the 550th anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald. Today, the museum displays the permanent exhibition "The Great War with the Teutonic Order 1409-1411", the basic part of which are maps, plans, drawings, photographs and a large number of originals as well as copies of medieval weapons and armaments. The archaeological part presents relics discovered on the Fields of Grunwald: crossbow boltheads, arrowheads of bows, sword fragments, spurs and fragments of an armored gauntlet, unique in Polish museum collections.
